We Build From Lived Experience

The Good Deeds Co. exists because too many brands are building from urgency instead of truth.

They’re visible, but unclear.
Active, but unaligned.
Creating, but not compounding influence.

GDC was founded to slow the process down—and get it right.

We are a storytelling-led brand agency and strategic partner helping brands and individuals clarify who they are, what they stand for, and how their story moves people to trust and act.

Why Story Comes First

Storytelling is not marketing.
It is meaning.

Before platforms, visuals, or campaigns, we work to understand:

  • the lived experience shaping the brand

  • the identity being formed through that experience

  • the influence the brand is meant to build over time

When story is clear, strategy stops being reactive.
It becomes directional.

Our Role

We don’t exist to execute tasks—we exist to think with you.

GDC acts as:

  • a strategic mirror

  • a narrative architect

  • a long-term thinking partner

Our work sits at the intersection of clarity, identity, and influence—guiding decisions across brand, content, and creative.

Built From Lived Experience, Not Theory

GDC was founded by Jocelyn “Jo” Jones, a strategist and storyteller who believes clarity is the most powerful brand asset.

After years of working across creative, brand, and business spaces, Jo saw the same pattern repeat:
brands moving fast without understanding themselves—and paying for it later.

The problem wasn’t a lack of talent or ideas.
It was a lack of grounded story.

Why Jo Leads With Story

Jo’s work is shaped by lived experience—by navigating identity, transition, and growth in real time, not hypotheticals.

That perspective informs how GDC works:

  • slowing down before scaling

  • asking better questions before making decisions

  • honoring truth before performance

Jo doesn’t believe in trend-chasing or surface-level branding.
She believes in work that holds—because it’s built on what’s real.

Role at GDC

As Founder and Strategic Lead, Jo acts as:

  • the narrative architect

  • the strategic mirror

  • the long-term thinking partner behind the work

Her role isn’t to be visible for visibility’s sake—it’s to ensure every brand GDC touches is rooted in clarity, integrity, and intention.

A Note From Jo

“Clarity isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about asking the right questions—and being willing to listen to what comes up.”

Our Values in Practice

We operate with intention, not impulse.

  • Visionary: clarity before creation

  • Innovative: thoughtful over trend-driven

  • Collaborative: strategy built with, not for

  • Excellence: care for the narrative at every level

These values aren’t aspirational. They are operational.
